Still life art

W.A.L.T: Draw what I can see NOT what I think I can see.

Technicraft

The highlight fro meach cycle so far has been:
For sewing it was using the sewing machines.
For Ukulele it was playing with all the instruments.
And currently for cooking it is learning how to make food and then getting to eat it.
I am looking forward to woodwork because I like making things with the machine and the wood smells nice.
A new subject in technicraft could be P.E.

Young Leaders Day

Two highlights of Young leaders day was the talkers and also the Michael Fowler Centre.

The most inspiring person was Cam Calkoen.

I would defintley recommend this day for others. I thought it  and could definitely help other people.

My thoughts for DARE

My favourite DARE page

This is my favourite page in my DARE book. We did a programme with Constable Julie who taught us about drugs and we had a book full of all the sheets we did in the programme but this one is my favorite. I like this page the most because it is very colourful and has bright colours.

This course had a massive impact on me it told me who to hang out with and who not to hang out with. It also taught me to not take illegal drugs and what can happen to your body. Illegal drugs are in every high school and you might think its not but it is even in the very good schools and you most likely will be offered some.

If I didn't go through this course I seriously wouldn't know anything about drugs and wouldn't know how to say no. I am really really thankful foe Constable Julie coming in and teaching us about drugs and it was an amazing experience and hope a lot of other schools go through this programme because it can really save your life.

Words of wisdom- "Like attracts like", "Life is what's coming- not what was", The only real mistake is one from which you learn nothing".

When we finished the Dare programme we caught the bus to H2o extreme in Upper Hutt. All of the year 7 and 8's went on the bus and we all had a great time. We went to the pool because we had completed the DARE programme and Constable Julie took us and we had a lot of fun. This is a photo of me and some friends and Constable Julie in the backround.

My Art work

What I  done well was my road. I thought I done really well with making the shape of it and also shading it in.

Next time I would like to make a big difference with my house. My house was really wrong I didnt do the roof properly and didn't rub out my lines.

Dare to make a choice

                                                     Dare to make a choice
Dare has been a very exciting learning experience so far. Something I have learnt today was that I never knew that chocolate had some drugs in it. I cant wait until our next session with Constable Julie our teacher. I really have started to enjoy the Dare program. Constable Julie is really funny and loves to joke around but also is teaching us some very important stuff for our future.
